Overview

The Community Design Workshop will create a community-based and community-generated playbook to communicate TOD's efforts and the value of community-based planning, amid ways citizen stakeholders can participate.

As a tactical guideline, the playbook will serve as a manual for SHADE PID practitioners, government officials, community partners, and citizens who participate in the 3.0 implementation phase, the next and final phase of this GIA contract.

Chinatown

Respecting the historical and cultural character of Chinatown while restoring civic life and improving connectivity benefits visitors, customers, and local citizens. Connectivity between Chinatown ans surrounding neighborhoods affords opportunity to ameliorate environments, like the Nuuanu Stream, and activate downtown frontages as cultural and commercial destinations.
