What is TWC?

1.        Gathering Place to share the ABCs of Mass Timber and local invasive wood sourcing, design/construction technology, to make more meaningful and sustainable buildings in Hawai’i and the Pacific Islands.

2.       Resource and Display Site stocked with free technical brochures, material samples, and essential references for sale.

3.       Training Program of scheduled seminars and lunch ‘n learns led by industry experts and partners.

4.       Project Consultation service for landowners, developers, design and construction professionals.


PARTICIPATION:

·       Members will have exclusive access to the TWC during business hours, and invitations to selected training and events. Annual membership will be on individual ($50) and corporate rates based on firm size ($250+). Members’ names will be listed on SHADE’s TWC site and related printed matter.

 ·       Partners provide information about their products and services for display along with scheduled training events at the TWC over a specified time. Initial Partnership fee is $2,500 plus full in-kind funding of scheduled training events. Monthly exposure fees will be assessed, based on floor area display type/space, and duration. Partner logos will be featured on SHADE’s TWC site, related printed matter, and on the TWC’s Partner and Sponsor display panel.

 ·       Sponsors provide financial and/or in-kind support to TWC/SHADE Institute. Sponsorship levels are named as follows:

  •   $15,000+ Ali‘i (leader)

  •   $10,000 Kanaka mahiʻai (planter)

  •   $5,000 Mea nāna i hana (maker)

  •   $3,000 Mea hoʻolālā (planner)

  • $2,000 Haumāna (apprentice)

 Sponsor logos will be featured on SHADE’s TWC site, related printed matter, and most prominently on the TWC’s Partner and Sponsor display panel. Sponsors will be acknowledged at all TWC events.

Membership dues, Partnership fees, and Sponsor funding received are 100% tax deductible. Proceeds will be utilized for HIMTRC and SHADE Institute’s operating expenses. Any additional proceeds will support SHADE’s annual fellowship training program. SHADE will send donation acknowledgement letters to sponsors upon receipt of payment for IRS documentation.

Membership, Partnerships, and Sponsorships will be on an annual calendar year basis and are good through December 31, 2027.
